Benefits

The Mersey River Wind project will provide customers the option to completely transition to clean energy. Through the Renewable to Retail license, Renewal will sell directly to customers with costs that are lower than marginal costs of electricity in many markets. 

Once in operation, the project may save over 200,000 tons of CO2 every year when compared to fossil fuel as a power source.

Mersey River Wind will bring a substantial amount of tax revenue dollars for both  municipality and province. The project will further boost the local economy by providing at least 100 people with temporary work during the construction phase and require a dedicated crew of 6-12 Full Time Equivalent technicians during operation.
